#024 Firoke - The Smoking Ant Pokémon
Type: Bug/Fire
Ability: Sniper
Dex: Its belly is filled with super hot lava that it sprays at its opponent through the nozzle on its abdomen. Its aim is precise.
Evolves from Smore upon learning the move Incinerate (starting at Lv.16)
All the bugs in Tandor are based on different species of real-life insects. Smore and Firoke are ants, Sponee and Sponaree are based on spiders and water striders, and Tricwe and Harylect are based on lightning bugs. Obviously, some creative license was taken with those inspirations, mixing in different kinds of bugs as I saw fit. Their queen, the Seikamater, is based on a combination of all those insects, as well as bees, dragonflies, and moths.
I really like bug-types. Shame this guy's power tapers off in the mid-late game. I recently changed his ability around -- previously it was Swarm and Flame Body, but I wanted to give him one that was more fitting of his Dex entry and more useful besides. Though perhaps I should give him Flash Fire since the other bugs have Water Absorb and Volt Absorb... I do like symmetry.

I love this one, It looks like a fusion of Durant and Heatmor to some extent, and that could not make me any happier.
by the way, I'm playing Uranium for the first time, and I'm sure I'm going to add this little one to my team.
