# 144 Garlikid
The Hero Pokemon
Type: Grass/Fighting
Ability: Justified
Dex: Garlikid believes itself to be a savior of all Pokemonkind. It will pick fights with anyone it considers villainous.
It's Garlikid! The hero of all Pokemon! Garlikid is a legendary (?) Pokemon that is the focal point of several sidequests in Pokemon Uranium. In the first, he breaks into a Pokemon Lab and kidnaps several Pokemon that he believes were held prisoner. The player finds him in a cave, using the Pokemon Speech Translator to understand what he's saying, and then battles him as a Pokemon Trainer using the ones that he stole. In the second sidequest, he attempts to break into a (different) lab again when he hears the cries of a Pokemon in distress. However, this time, he gets captured, and the player has to free him. After dispatching several of the malicious scientists with the help of the player, he agrees to join their side and continue to aid them in the fight against evildoers.
Don't underestimate Garlikid based on his looks; his stats are close to legendary-tier, with particularly high Attack and Speed but decent all-around otherwise:
90HP/115Atk/85Def/105SpA/90SpD/115Spe
I'm not really sure where the idea for Garlikid initially came from, but I think he's an old design that dates back to my days at PMF. A garlic-themed superhero fakemon... it's frankly ridiculous, but he's grown on me a lot, enough that he has such an important role in Uranium now. Fun fact: his name in Spanish is "Cebollaman".

At first this desing was a bit weird for me. But then I realised it was very original. I enjoyed the interections with Garlikid within Uranium. I wish it had more relevance in the game, i loved cooperating with him.
